What is the difference between NPT NPTF screws?

Information

NPT = American standard taper screw for general pipe ・NPTF = American standard taper screw for dry seal pipe

The difference between the two types is the use for densification resistance!

When sealing resistance is required, ・NPT→Need sealant ・NPTF→ Not need sealant

Why is NPTF sealant-free? →Because of the special threads that ensure tightness resistance. Even when piping is so hot that the sealant melts, NPTF can be used without the need for sealant.

*NPT and NPTF have different thread profiles, so sharing tools for thread processing is prohibited.
