Information

What is the difference between a right-hand thread and a left-hand thread?

Right-hand thread, regular thread

All regular products are right-hand threads unless otherwise stated.

Left-hand thread, reverse thread
⇒Threads that are turned to the left when screwing in a coupling.

Where are left-hand threads used?

★Fans, wheels★
Screws in the opposite direction of normal rotation are used to prevent disengagement.

★The direction of rotation of the gas cylinder screw depends on the type of gas★
When flammable gases are contained, the screw is left-handed. However, for ammonia, the screw is right-handed, and for helium gas, left-handed.For gases that pose an explosion hazard, left-hand threads are used to prevent accidental connection.
